Minimal data, clear purposes

Analytics
GameDB uses Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregate page use and improve navigation. Web-vital sampling is limited. The wiki does not sell personal information.
Run Compendium data
When you import or save a Run Compendium record, GameDB collects normalized game facts for aggregate run metrics. These can include game version, mode, difficulty, result, depth, Shards, Heroes, ranks, specializations, items, relics, route stages and available path records, current shop offers, event state, battle outcomes and enemies, timeline entry types, purchases, sales, rerolls, freezes, and allowlisted combat totals. GameDB also creates anonymous run, snapshot, event, and build fingerprints so a newer snapshot can be grouped with the same run and an unchanged import is not counted twice.
The raw save file, Steam or profile identifiers, player or account IDs, local file paths, run names, notes, seeds, instance IDs, and unknown internal payloads are not included in aggregate analytics. The full editable record remains in your browser when you are anonymous. If you sign in and account sync is available, the bounded editable Compendium record, including its title and notes, is stored privately with your GameDB account for cross-device use. Exported JSON and share links are created only when you request them.
Feedback
If you send feedback, the message and any contact details you choose to provide are stored so the correction can be reviewed. Do not include secrets or private game files.
Identity
Optional GameDB identity can keep your account session across GameDB properties. Browsing and searching this wiki remain available without signing in.
Patch alerts
Patch alerts are optional. When you subscribe, GameDB stores your email address and the wiki you selected to send future patch notes and material game updates. Your address is not public, and every alert includes an unsubscribe link.
Guide accounts and profiles
Submitting a guide requires a GameDB account. GameDB stores the guide with an internal account ID so it can be managed from that account; your email is not included in the guide record. Author profiles are private by default. If you make a profile public, your chosen display name, profile picture, bio, and guides you choose to list can appear across GameDB wikis. You can switch the profile back to private, hide individual guides, and edit or remove profile details in account settings.
Third-party links
Steam and other external links follow the privacy terms of their destination.
